Brittle bones can kill you if you break enough of them. But there’s good news!
Scientists from the University of California, San Francisco ran a series of studies to learn more about estrogen in the brain. They were studying the function of estrogen-sensitive neurons in the hypothalamus and blocked the effects of estrogen in the hypothalamus of animals and discovered they had gained weight and became less active.
They assumed the extra weight was due to extra fat and muscle tissue. But they discovered the extra weight was due to increased bone mass. Some had an increase of 800 percent.
Stay on your feet. Help is on the horizon! Maybe hip replacement will be a thing of the past.
